VAX is no more...
Supporting kits as of 2020 are now located at https://wasd.vsm.com.au/wasd/vax/

Like to establish the integrity of your package?
Check it's MD5 digest against that in this list.
WASD has it's own MD5 digestor but here is a stand-alone one if required.

<major>.<minor>.<tweak>
The versioning of WASD packages follows this schema; < major change > . < minor change > . < tweak and / or bugfix >
So, major and minor changes are desirable at a functionality level (check Significant Changes document), and tweak/bugfix if experiencing a particular (often undesirable) behaviour (commonly at the server level, check /wasd_root/src/httpd/version.h).

WASD Version 12.2.0

Check significant changes carefully and in particular when updating.

Release announcement on the info-WASD mailing list.

The three other packages, -AXP, -IA64 and -X86** contain supplementary, pre-compiled object modules for this release.

** All the x86-64 object modules have been native-compiled using VSI C x86-64 V7.5-009 (GEM 50XBR) on OpenVMS V9.2-2

Transport Layer Security  (TLS/SSL)  RECENT

As described in VSI OpenSSL SSL111-V0101-1S and SSL3-V0300-7 it is now possible to install VSI OpenSSL releases on pre-V8.4 VMS.
This is the recommended approach to providing and maintaining OpenSSL for WASD.
Also, described in WASD OpenSSL 3.0 transition from 1.1.1, WASD v12.2 can build against OpenSSL 3.0 and the obsolete 1.1.1.

PHP Persistent Scripting
PHP is an almost universally deployed, powerful, cross-platform, HTML-embedded scripting language (http://www.php.net/). This is an Alpha (AXP) and Itanium (IA64) PHP interface for WASD. It uses the Mark Berryman PHP port(s) which must be obtained separately. See the description in https://wasd.vsm.com.au/wasd_root/src/php/ for further information.

Mark Berryman's PHP Ports
https://www.theberrymans.com/php_kits/
These kits are more complete and up-to-date than those provided by HP, and are always in-development. Any feedback most welcome (even just "worked a treat!") to Mark Berryman at mark@theberrymans.com.
