An updated version of WASD Certificate Management Environment

  https://wasd.vsm.com.au/wasd_root/src/wcme/readmore.html

has been released. Before rushing to the download page...

If a site already has a functioning version 1 there is little to be gained by
moving to version 2.0.0.

During the period since initial wCME release the core functionality contained
in /acme-client-portable/ has become abandonware and the code that it was
derived from (acme-client) has been moved into the OpenBSD baseline and is
being maintained there. To allow wCME to remain current and bug-fixed it
needed to follow. It became version 2 due to the extensive re-port required,
which while functionally equivalent had significant differences in the
OpenBSD baseline code.

While having some minor enhancements and functionality improvements, wCME
version 2 is intended to be fully backward-compatible with version 1 and so
when a move from the earlier version is warranted (i.e. a functional change
in the underlying /acme-client/) the later version should just continue where
the previous left off.

You will note there are four sets of object module archives. One for OpenSSL
1.1.1 and another OpenSSL 1.0.2, for each of Alpha and Itanium platforms. A
reminder that in the interim both the OpenSSL 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 APIs will be
supported by WASD but at some stage 1.0.2 will be dropped and sites required
to move to WASD 11.3.0 or later to deploy SSL fixes.

Regards, Mark.
