The T_FLOAT type denotes  an  IEEE  T_Floating  double-precision
  real  value  regardless of the setting of the FLOAT attribute or
  /FLOAT command line qualifier.

  T_FLOAT is supported only  on  OpenVMS  Alpha  and  OpenVMS  I64
  Systems.
