Use Customize to customize your view of the namespace and to save your changes. To customize your view of the namespace, you can specify a virtual root-a directory other than the root at which you want DSMDECdns to start displaying the namespace. The virtual root is a convenient way to focus immediately on a particular directory of interest instead of expanding directo- ries level by level. It also enables you to quickly change the namespace display from one directory to another, and even to a directory in another namespace. Another use of the virtual root is in a secure namespace that does not allow read access to all directories for all users. For example, DSMDECdns normally displays the root directory (.) when it starts. However, if you do not have read access to the root directory, you cannot expand it. To display and ex- pand a directory to which you do have access, you can specify its name as the virtual root.
