Choose this menu item from the Modify pull-down menu to remove the
  selected items from a graph result.  Clicking MB1 on a node or arc to
  select it.  To select several items, press and hold MB1 and drag the
  mouse to outline the items you want to remove.  If you select a
  parent node, any children will also be removed from the result.
