Use /NOEDIT to bypass the edit session. The /EDIT (or /NOEDIT) qualifier overrides the current text editor. The current text editor is defined in the following precedence: o with the /EDIT or /NOEDIT qualifier o as defined by the MAIL$EDIT logical (callable_[lse,edt,teco,tpu] or DCL command procedure filename).
