The quad-integer- length argument is the address of an unsigned quadword containing this number. character-string OpenVMS usage:char_string type: character string access: modify mechanism: by descriptor Dynamic string descriptor to which STR$GET1_DX_64 allocates the area. The character-string argument is the address of the descriptor. The descriptor's CLASS field is checked.
